Morning Report for North Shore: NW swell continues to fade this morning as the early forerunners of a more NNW swell start filling in for country shorelines with southerly winds already blowing this morning. Waves are in the head high to overhead high range with some slightly larger sets rolling into the better exposed locations. Get on it early as the southerly winds are forecast to become quite strong by later this afternoon. Breezy. Partly sunny with scattered showers. Southeast winds around 10 mph increasing to south around 20 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Short-Term Forecast for North Shore: Current NW swell continues to fade as a reinforcing swell out of a more NNW direction fills in throughout the day today. Expect surf heights to bump back up into the near double overhead high range by this afternoon with the biggest waves rolling into the northerly exposed reefs. Southerly winds are expected to pick up in strength by later this afternoon so get on it early.
